WAR EAGLE

We beat Florida 20-17! War Eagle!!

Mina's Field Trip

Mina and I went to the fair Thursday morning for her first field trip. We had a great time. It was pretty unorganized on the fair's part, but I think the kids had a blast. We only got to walk through the animal exhibits, but of course she and I loved that. We took a couple of pictures, some of just her and some of her friends too.

Thor....

Well, who knew I had so much to blog about this week. I should really do a better job of keeping up. Anyway, Thor had minor surgery this week. Yes, I am talking about my dog. My other dog, Riley (aka Rufus), beat Thor up. She actually ripped her canine tooth all the way through his lip and sinus cavity. SO, Dr. H had to sew him up. He was really pitiful, the last time I saw him under anesthesia was when he was a puppy, and I don't remember him being so dramatic back then. But, as usual I have pics! :)

Mimi V

I wanted to show everyone a few updated pics of my beautiful niece. They aren't brand new pics as I haven't seen her since Tuesday. I plan to make my way that way today if Stuart and Steph don't mind. But, pictures they are. I took them Sunday afternoon, so she was still only 4 days old. I thought this one with her Auntie CoCo and favorite cousins
Mina and Aidan was so cute!!
ISN"T SHE A CUTIE?

We made it!!

We made it to the fair. It took a try or two, but we made it. We met our friends Andrea, Nathan and Jackson at Chik-fil-a on Thursday after everyone was finished with school/work. We quickly ate and then headed off to the North Georgia Fair. It rained off and on all day Thursday which made it a little less crowded. Yea, for us! Anyway, I thought only rednecks went to the fair, but now I have decided that only rich people can afford the fair. It costs a small fortune for 2 children and 2 adults to attend the fair, and we actually had free tickets into the fair. So, basically we spent $60 for the kids to ride rides. It was $6-8 per ride for both kids to ride. Ridiculous! We had fun though! Check out these pics. We started out on the caterpillar roller coaster, Mina loved it, but Aidan wasn't so sure. He hung in there, but he cried a little bit toward the end of the ride.

Then we moved on to the animals and you know the kids and I loved that, we were petting everything that we could get our hands on. The kids are just like me, they love animals. So, we paid $7 for them to sit on Buttercup. Buttercup is a 2400 lb Bull. She is BIG! The kids loved her!

Our 2nd ride of the night was the fish ride? It looked more like a helicopter, but had the face of a fish. Very interesting! They liked it okay, but it wasn't their favorite. I think they like all 3 riding together. That is Jackson in the middle. Isn't he cute. He's bigger than Aidan and he is a year younger than A.

Next, we headed to the Dragon ride. That was the fave of the night. The kids actually control whether their little dragon goes up or down. And just like that love for animals, they also are control freaks like me. Yikes!! Anyway, they loved that ride.

Well, that was pretty much it! . We really did have a great time!!

Our Almost Visit to the Fair!

Well, we had high hopes of going to the fair, but we never actually made it. We attempted to go with our friends, Andrea and Nathan and their little one Jackson. But, we only made it to Chik-fil-a, and Wally World. Boy, were the kids disappointed. They were all hyped up about the rides and funnel cakes, and then they only got to go to Wally World. We were headed to the fair, but the traffic was so bad that we would have waited over an hour to just get in the gate. I don't think the kiddos would have lasted. So, off to Walmart we went. We bribed them with toys, only Mina is old enough to understand the bribe. She knew she was missing out on something bigger and better! Poor girl. We made promises to go back later in the week though!! We shall see!

We're ready for Fall!

We are so ready for fall, we can't stand it! We are ready for the punkin' patch, costumes, candy, cold weather, maybe an Auburn win (or maybe not) :( We are going to the fair tonight with some friends of ours, and I know the kids are going to absolutely love it. They have never been, but everytime we pass by one of those parking lot carnivals, they beg to go! So, that shoud be fun, and should provide me with some good blogging material. I have been looking back at all my pictures of last fall, and even the one before that. They are so stinkin' cute. Unfortunately, we don't have pics of Mina, because that was before we met! But, you can still see how cute Aidan and Griffin are! I can't find any halloween pics with JI in them, I don't know why. So, if and when I find them I will post them for all to see! Enjoy!

J.I.

So, I realized that I haven't introduced everyone to my little brother (JI). He is a cutie, and he pretty much looks just like me. There is a 24 year difference between the 2 of us, but I think that will make us even closer to him. He is 3 months younger than his nephew Aidan, and 2 years younger than his niece Mina. Funny, huh. That is kinda hard to explain to people, although it sounds very simple as I reread this. Anyway, I just wanted to include some pictures of my cute little brother. We have a great time, especially since he is so close in age to all his nieces and nephews!

Bugs. Bugs, and more Bugs!!

I have great in-laws. Today they picked up the kiddos and took them to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. There they got to see bugs, GIANT BUGS!! They loved it.

There are giant statues of bugs, and we all know my little exterminator Aidan loved that. I'll have to try and scan some pictures in that Carol and Randy gave me, so that everyone can see them with these bugs. They got to run around like maniacs, and see frogs, caterpillars, bees, and more. They have such a blast when they get to hang out with their Nana and Poppa! Thanks again, guys! They loved it. Here are a few pics of the types of bugs they saw!

Baby Mimi

Just wanted to brag about my new niece for a moment. My brother Stuart and my sister-in-law Stephanie had their first child this morning. Mimi Viola was born at 9:13 A.m. She was 7lbs 1 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. She is beautiful. Both Steph and the baby are doing great. Steph had a c-section because Mimi was breech, so the delivery has been planned for a while. We are very excited, and can't wait for them to come home! I will keep everyone updated, and let you know when they go home!
Thought I'd add the picture of my goofy brother, he wishes he was a doctor, not a lawyer!

Just for Cori and Hannah!

Cori and Hannah,

I have added several new blogs per your request. I just wanted you to make sure that you check out all the new pictures I have added. And, I promise there will be more in the next few days!

Court

Check out Mina's Straight hair!!

Oh, I haven't had time to blog, but I did have time to straighten Mina's hair for fun! I didn't realize that I could get her hair so straight! It is really cute, but I still love those curls!

Did you miss us?

Sorry for the lapse in blogging. We have been quite busy with school, doctor's appointments, etc. Anyway, the kiddos started school since my last post. Mina loves it, Aidan hates it. Actually, Aidan likes it a little better since the first 2 weeks. Those were awful. Mina, however, really enjoys school and meeting new friends. She has learned so much in 3 weeks. She learned her 1st Bible verse, how to spell "RED", she can recognize letters and numbers, and a whole lot more. I am loving her teacher, as is she. So, she is great. We did have a bout of the croup after school started back, but we are over that and moving right along. I will post pics of their first day. Aidan was not as impressed with his class. He screams bloody murder when I drop him off, my mom likes to remind me I did the same thing, except instead of pre-school I was in 1st grade. Yeah, a little embarrassing. But, I had an evil teacher. I am still scared of her! :)

As for all of Aidan's testing, we are no closer to finding the answers, and I am more frustrated. We went to our GI specialist today, and I had a meltdown after I realized we were getting nowhere. It's like every doctor we see wants to send us to someone else. Noone can make any sense of it. I'm tired of it, as is Aidan. But, I'll stop complaining now. It could be so much worse, and I do realize that.

Anyway, I will post some pics from the past couple of weeks, and a few funny videos of the kids! I won't skip so much time in between blogs next time!
