Monday already...

Where, oh where did the weekend go!! I cannot believe that it is already Sunday evening, where does the time go? Saturday was absolutely beautiful, we were able to do some yard work, go to the park, walk 3.5 miles, run 1/2 mile, etc, etc.....Can you tell I was really proud of that 1/2 mile run? HA!! It has taken me 5 weeks to work up to that!!! Anyway, the end of the weekend, will bring a very busy week!

Obviously, this is the week before Easter, which means that our oldest 4, all have Easter parties, so we had to stuff Easter eggs this weekend. Not to mention that Michel and Carr are both having surgery on Tuesday!! I have a feeling that it is going to be a very long week! :( Please pray for the boys, pray that their surgery goes well, pray that they recover quickly!!!

Anyway, just wanted to ask for prayer for the boys, hope you have a wonderful Sunday night, I am going to be early, so I know I will!!! I will update you on the boys on Tuesday when we get home from the hospital!!

Girls Weekend!

SO, I left Friday for a girls weekend with all of my sweet neighbor girls. We went to Charleston to visit my bestie, Stace! I had a GREAT time!! I live in a fabulous neighborhood, we have lived here for almost 5 years, and we have made lifelong friendships! I have gotten so overwhelmed with everything going on, that I kind of went MIA for awhile!! Luckily, my sweet friends, especially HANNAH, did not give up on me! :)

I had a blast this weekend! So glad that I got to spend some kid-free time with all of them this weekend!! I didn't even realize how much I missed them all, until now!!!

THANKS GUYS!!! Can't wait to do it again soon!!!

Pictures to come...I have to wait and steal them from Cori!! :)

.....

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12

Love this verse...just read it again this morning in Romans. It is the perfect statement for me right now...I need to be joyful in the hope that God has every detail of our adoption in the palm of His hand, and that it will work out PERFECTLY....patient while we wait through this agonizing journey, and faithful to pray and ask God for His perfect will, for both Emory and I and for Emmy Faith.

Last Wednesday, Emmy's Birthmom was suppose to sign new surrenders giving Emmy to us, rather than the previous surrenders which gave the baby to the family that originally had her. WE were so excited, she had confirmed that she would come, and that she would sign, however, Wed. came and went and she did not show up! I was bummed, but not devestated, I felt like she would definitely sign! Well, I just heard from one of the million parties that is involved in this CRAZY adoption, and I guess there is some speculation that if she doesn't sign soon, that Emmy will have to go into state custody. Apparently, my lawyer is out of town, he didn't inform us that he was leaving town, so I am a little aggravated....so I can't ask him, what his opinion of all this is. I guess, eventually, Kansas and Georgia will get sick of dealing with this as a private matter, and decide to place her in state custody. Which, would be fine, as long as Georgia can supervise the placement, and she wouldn't have to physically be in Kansas. So, I am trying to joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer, just as Romans 12:12 says!!

Please pray that the Lord will continue to guide every step of this adoption, pray that everything will be done in the best interest of our precious baby girl!! Pray for me, I am a little worn down, pray that I will continue to have faith that the Lord will provide everything we need to see this adoption come to fruition!!!

Faithful....

I have been following Angie Smith's blog, Bring the Rain, for a long time. Her story of the death of her newborn baby is such a touching story, but even more important, is her faith. The faith she and her husband had and have through it all. I saw this video for the first time today!! Such a beautiful video and song. I also watched a video that their church did, just weeks after their precious baby girl was born and died only 2.5 hours later! They told their story from the beginning to end, and it is amazing to hear their incredible faith. Angie mentioned the times that were not easy, the times that she would spend in the car yelling at GOD, asking why? At the end of the video, she reminds us, this was not Plan B (the name of the church series), it may have been their plan B, but this was not God's. He knows the plan, nothing surprises Him.

What an incredible reminder....God is not surprised by anything. He is all-knowing. He knows every detail of every second of every day. For goodness sake, He knows every sparrow that falls out of the sky, HE KNOWS OUR PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE. I am so thankful, that I can rest assured knowing that no matter what the road ahead brings, my God is not surprised. I can trust that HE will walk right beside me through it all! Praise the Lord for that!!!

Here is the video....make sure you have a tissue or 5!!!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

It's been a pretty GREAT day today!!! As much as I am ready for Spring, we had another 2 inches of snow today, I love SNOW!!! It did cause scheduling issues, but nothing that couldn't be worked out!! Mina got out at 10:30, and I picked the boys up at about 11:15!! We had a great lunch at LongHorn, Emory was able to meet us, and the kiddos loved it!!! Then we headed home for a family nap!! THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE DAY!!!

In addition to our fun snow....we also are making huge strides in the legal department with Emmy!! Her BM has agreed to sign, so sometime this week she will meet with an attorney to sign the new consents!! YAY!! Praise the Lord!! Such a blessing!! BF's whereabouts are unknown, so we are praying that he will pop up, and that we can have him resign quickly as well!! Please keep praying that he will pop up, and be as willing to sign as she was!!

Health wise, we are all doing great!! Praise the Lord for that!! Because of our latest healthy streak, we did not let the kiddos play in the snow, they just had to watch it from the window!! I hated it for them, but I hate the inside of Scottish Rite much, much more!!

Anyway, just wanted to share our happy news about Emmy Faith! Thanks for the prayers!! We really appreciate every single one, and know that God hears them all!!!

Prayers.....

Hi!!! So, this morning we found out that the attorney will be contacting Emmy Faith's birth mother!! She will have to agree to resign all of the termination papers in order for us to move forward with Emmy's adoption. This is part of the legal process that we have to get through!! UGH!!! SO, please pray that the Lord will be with this precious BM as she gets this news. I am sure, even though it has been mentioned before, that this will still be a shock for her. When Emmy was born the family that the BM had chosen was at the hospital, she was able to meet them, and feel like she knew who would be holding and kissing her daughter for the rest of her life. This BM has never met us, never seen our pictures, she knows nothing about us!! Please pray for her today as well!! Pray that the Lord would give her a peace that surpasses all understanding. PRay that if she asks to speak to us, that we are able to share the words in our heart, the gratitude and respect we have for her!! Thanks so much for your continued thoughts and prayers, I will keep you posted!!!
