Vote for my kiddos...

So, I entered my kiddos pictures in a contest called, "Good Kids, Bad Photos"! It is a contest for the underdogs! We were suppose to pick a picture that was suppose to be GREAT, one for the memory books, but just didn't quite turn out like we had planned! I chose our finalization picture. You know the one! The one where our 2 year old, Carson, decided that he would KARATE chop, yes, I said KARATE chop both the judge and attorney! NICE!!! So, not only did he move through the room karate chopping important, VERY IMPORTANT people, he did it for the ALL-IMPORTANT "FINALIZATION" photo as well!!

Turns out it is one for the memory books!! Anyway, all of that to say...Please, go and vote for my cute kiddos at the following link...http://www.facebook.com/capturesbysummer link will take you to Captures by Summer's FB page, "Like" her page, and then find the photo below in her "Good Kids/Bad photo" album...then all you have to do is HIT "LIKE"!! Just a little info of the big adventure Emmy had during her 1st year!!

  • Came home on January 27th
  • In February, she was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia - SS disease
  • Also, had her first hospitalization in February at 5 weeks old, the 1st of 12 in year! WOW!

  • In November, she became a BIG SISTER, and celebrated her first Thanksgiving! She also took her first steps!! She finally said Mama this month too!!! I'd love to say this was her 2nd word, but it really wasn't!
  • In December she cut 4 more teeth, decided to take off walking like a wild woman, officially gained 2 new brothers and had her very 1st Christmas!! She also learned to sign more, please, thank you and blow kisses!! Boy, is she smart or what?? We were busy!!!

Looking back at 2010...

WOW!! It's 2011! I cannot believe that another year has flown by! 2010 was a huge year for the Lott family. It brought about so many changes!! I just wanted to take this post to remember all of the wonderful blessings from 2010....

On January 11th...we were told about a baby girl that might need a home...January 27th, after much prayer, we brought that precious baby girl home. Emmy Faith Lott, born on January 4th, 2010!! She was a whopping 9 lbs!

Shortly after adding #5 to our family, we found out we were pregnant in March of this year. The pregnancy was not a shock, however, the fact that I stayed pregnant was!! WOW!! 6 kids!!

On March 6th, Mr. Carson turned 2!! Such a sweet boy!! Can't believe that he is already 2!!

In June of this year, we were told that the state of Georgia would be terminating the rights of Michael and Carson's BM, and that it looked like we might actually get to adopt them!! WhooHoo! We have waited 2 years for this news!! Praise GOD!!!

Also in June, my incredible in-laws took the whole family to Disney World. This was the 1st time for all the kiddos and we had a blast!!

In July of 2010, we finalized our sweet Emmy's adoption. Again, PRAISE GOD!!

On July 26th Michael turned 5 years old!! Can't believe that he's not my little spanish speaking 3 year old anymore!!

In August, my 2 older boys started kindergarten. I cannot believe it!! I have 3 in elementary school now!! WHOA!!

In October, Emory and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! So thankful for a Godly husband. A man that loves God, loves me more than life itself and loves all of our children more than life itself! He is an incredible husband and father!!

On November 2, Aidan turned 6 years old. Can't believe it!! Where did my little baby go?

On November 23, 2010 at 10:42 pm....our sweet Collier Anderson Lott was born. He was 5 lbs 13 oz and 19.5 inches long. He was 3 weeks early, and the most precious little baby in the world!! He came 2 days before Thanksgiving...boy was I thankful!! :)

On Thanksgiving day, my grandparents were in town and were able to meet Collier, I was so thankful for that!! They live in Alabama and it isn't everyday that they get to see our kiddos! Thanking God that they were able to meet Collier when he was only 2 days old!!

On December 5th, My beautiful Mina turned 8! Yes, 8!! Can you believe it! I can't! I am the mother of an 8 year old!! WOW! She is gets prettier and smarter by the second!!

On December 15th, we FINALIZED MICHAEL SIMS LOTT AND CARSON LOTT'S adoptions! That was 2 years in the making, and we are so THANKFUL that they are officially ours! GOD IS GOOD!!

Christmas

This was our 1st Christmas as a family of 8! Boy, was it fun!! Loud, but fun!! Expensive, but fun!! 6 kiddos can cost you a lot of money at Christmas time. I mean, Santa. Can cost Santa a lot of money! HA!! We had a wonderful Christmas! This was Emmy and Collier's 1st Christmas! Collier pretty much slept through it, but Emmy loved ripping into presents, and taking all of the other kids precious new possessions. HA!!

Each year before we allow the kids to rip into their presents, we remind them of the true meaning of Christmas, and who Christmas is all about.

Luke 2:9-12
And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. (10) And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. (11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (12) And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

So thankful for my Savior! So glad that Emory and I get the opportunity to teach these 6 beautiful children about Jesus Christ! To teach them that He died on a cross for their sins!! That He was born to die!!

Thank you, Lord for these 6 blessings that you have entrusted to Emory and I! Thank you for dying on a cross for my sins, so that I may have everlasting life with you!!

Here are some pictures of the Lott Family Christmas 2010!!!
