So, as I said in the last post we had a very eventful summer. Lots of change taking place in our family, and I know that it is all for the good. As I said before, we officially adopted Mina, we started gymnastics (both kids), I started working full-time (like 55 hours a week-full time), and Emory was let go from Northstar. The latest was Emory's job. Sooooo, we are in full job searching mode. This was definitely the best thing for Emory and for our family. It sucks to be really poor, have no insurance, and maybe not be able to pay your mortgage, but I know God's plan is great even when it isn't easy or fun.
I actually have not been attending Northstar for several weeks, as I was protesting to the way that the "executive" pastor spoke to and about my husband, so I am glad that we can all finally attend church as a family. As is Emory. We started attending FBC Woodstock, where I grew up. I really missed it, it is much different than Northstar, in a way that I really missed. I really wanted to go back to a traditional southern baptist church, where the pastor doesn't care if you feel good about what's being said or not. I 'm not really into the "feel-good" church thing. FBCW is definitely not a feel good church. I wanted a church where we can eat Wed. night supper and go to choir and awanas, and guess what... I found it. Sooooo, I say all that to say...I am so glad that God knows the big picture and that He has a plan for me and my family, and that I don't have to worry about what it is. I just have to be faithful and trust God. Which I must say I am getting so much better about the trust thing. But, you can still continue to pray that I don't worry about finances and jobs, that I continue to trust God for all our needs.

Mina's Very 1st day of Kindergarten
SOOOOOOO, I know it's been a really long time since I have blogged, but today was a very exciting a day. We actually had a very great and exciting summer as well. Our adoption was final on July 23, 2008. Praise God! What a blessing for that be over and done with and see God fulfill His promises. Today was Mina's 1st day of Kindergarten and what a day it was. She was so cute this morning. We woke her up at 6:30 am and she was ready by 7:04. Then we had to kill time until 7:20. We walked her to her class and took a quick pic with her teacher, and left her for a whole day. Aidan and I didn't know what to do with ourselves. We missed her a lot, but we picked her up at 2:30 and she told us about her SUPER day. She made tons of friends, but of course, doesn't remember their names. I guess she has all year to figure it out. Anyway, I'll write more soon! Hope everyone is well.
