4th All-Around

We have had one busy weekend! We had the exterior of our house painted, which is quite a task! Not that I had to do much, but we had to hang around most of the day, yet we had to stay out of the way! Do you know how hard that is with 5 kids and 3 dogs, actually we dog-sat this weekend, so we had 4 dogs!! That was a difficult task! But, we completed it, and the house looks great!

Mina had her 1st gymnastics competition this weekend, it was the Mini Mardi Gras. She did GREAT!!! I think she was a bit nervous, but she did incredible. Mina is an incredible gymnast, she was definitely built for this sport. We have tried every sport there is, and she has never really loved any of them! BUT, we have found the sport that she loves! SHE LOVES GYMNASTICS!! She started out this past fall in recreational gymnastics, and has quickly moved up. She is about to start Pre-Team classes this summer, and then she will move up to USAG 4 this fall!! Gymnastics gives her so much confidence, that is OUR favorite part of it! She knows she is good, and she is proud and confident! We don't get to see that side of her often, but when we do we LOVE IT!!! Anyway, she did excellent in her competition. She scored 4th all-around!! WOW!! She placed 3rd in Bars, 4th in Beam, 4th in Floor and 6th on Vault!! We were so excited for her, and enjoyed seeing her so proud of herself!!

This morning she woke up and said, "Good Morning from your FAVORITE GYMNAST!!" Love it!! Praying that this new confidence will stick around!!

Today, we spent most of the day doing home improvements!! Emory stained our front porch, built an extension to my desk for my office, mowed the lawn, amongst many other small projects!! Our next BIG project is finishing the basement, and replacing the carpet with hardwoods!! So, those adventures will be over the next few months, but we have been trying to get everything prepared for those 2!!
