Pro-Life...
I read an article today that made me so incredibly angry. It was not the first time I have heard/read such a ridiculous statement, in fact, the last time I heard it, it was said to me. It was an article written by a pro-choice activist. As many of you know, I am extremely pro-life. I could list all the reasons why, but I am sure they are obvious.
This woman who wrote the article, said and I am paraphrasing, "conservative baptist, conservative pro-lifers only care about the unborn, the babies in the womb, the could careless about children after they are born." THAT IS A RIDICULOUS STATEMENT.
Look at this picture. Do you see all those sweet faces. Four of the six were adopted. Two of the four were adopted out of foster care, 1 was 4 years old and the other at 3 weeks old, knowing she has a life-long chronic illness, BUT no, I'm a conservative baptist pro-lifer and I only care about babies in the womb. Someone has actually had the nerve to make that statement to Emory and I before in their argument for pro-choice. I wanted to say, "DUDE, look at my family, are you kidding, YOU CANNOT SAY THAT ABOUT US."
Pro-life means caring for the value of life. ALL LIFE. Not just in the womb, but for all human life. I am appalled that pro-choicers have such little to stand on that they would claim this ridiculous lie. That's what it is, a lie. I am a conservative, baptist pro-lifer and my family is living, walking, breathing proof that WE care about life in and out of the womb.
Emory and I adopted for 2 reasons: 1) God commanded us to in James 1:27 and 2) our pro-life convictions were so strong we felt we needed to put our money where our mouth is and show these women that their babies are wanted!
I pray that women considering abortion would see that their babies are WANTED and there are wonderful families willing to adopt their sweet children!
If you are interested in adoption, I would love to give you more information. Just visit our website for Faithful Adoption Consultants at www.faithfuladoptionconsultants.com.
Once again, thanks for reading my rant for the night! Just needed to get that ridiculousness off my chest!
