Mommyhood...

"Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. You do not collect children because you find them cuter than stamps. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for." 


I read this quote on a friend's page this morning, I'm pretty sure I have read it somewhere else as well, but either way, I love it.  


Being a mom to 6 children, I often get asked silly questions, like am I collecting children.  I never understood that question.  Being a mommy is most definitely not a hobby, or something to fill up my spare time. It is my life.  It is my calling.  This is what God created me for.  He created me to care for these 6 beautiful children.  I feel 
blessed and honored that He would think I am adequate enough to be their mommy.


Thankful for this calling.  Thankful for my babies!!  Thankful God's grace and mercies are new each morning, thankful for the time each day He gives me to care for these precious children.
